Elyse is a freelance writer based in Oregon. She writes primarily about gardening and cooking. Elyse is a master gardener who has been gardening for over 25 years. She lives on five acres and has a good size garden as well as fruit trees, berry canes and bushes, grapes and a changing parade of animals. Current residents include 4 chickens, 2 cats and a dog. Elyse also loves to cook and bake (especially bake), and enjoys creating her own recipes. She preserves much of what she grows by freezing, canning, drying, making preserves, vinegars, liqueurs, etc.
